Our Head Chef is Ariel Gomez Carusso, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. His approach to cookery has been shaped by the great culinary traditions of Spain and Italy, where Ariel has deep family roots. As he admits, his greatest inspiration has been his great grandmother, Teresa, who would get up at the break of dawn to cook lunch for their entire family of 15. He can still recall the taste and flavor of the dishes she made. Apart from her hand-made bucatini with tomato sauce, he also remembers well her always smiling face. Ariel is a strong believer in the power of fresh, locally-sourced produce, passion, and hard work, regardless of whether you cook in Buenos Aires, Malaga or Gran Canaria, where he used to work, or Poland, where he has been living for the last few years.
